Gillies Avenue In-Patient Ward Extension

Our Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering teams were engaged to provide services for the In-Patient Ward Extension to increase capacity.

The In-Patient Ward Extension includes in-patient rooms, nurse station, an administration area and a carpark extension.

The design was mainly focused on minimising the impacts of the construction activities to the operations of the existing facility, i.e, noise and vibration control and traffic management. Lightweight materials with a bracing wall system were selected with an on-grade concrete slab for the single-storey development.
